Trying to achieve a white holo

Morning!! I've been on the lookout for a bright while holo for a while now. I do have the Glitter Gals white holo, Light as a Feather, and although it was holo, I wanted it to be more in your face holo :P So I experimented a tad, and tried a little layering. It turned out alright, but def not as I hoped. The Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Diamond kind of turned the white a tad yellow.

I started with 2 coats of China Glaze White on White, and then added a coat of Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Diamond. I wish there was sun when I did this, so I could even see if that helped more. Maybe I shall try again one day.

Side note - I can't freaking wait!!! One week from now I will be enjoying my day off, and proabbaly still talking about just seeing the Hunger Games with Jack!!! Are any of you going to the midnight showing? I always said I would never go to one of those, mainly because of the crowds, but I just couldn't wait!

Ummm....Nope! DO NOT WANT

This is one of those manis, that didn't turn out how I expected, but it actually looks better in the pics, lol. I received my set of new Bundle Monster plates a few days ago, and only had 1 night of play time so far. I saw what appeared to be peacock feathers, and since I'm kind of on a kick, I decided to use that image first :) Okay, well I started with a coat of black and a coat of Sally Hansen Turquoise Opal. I figured that all the colors in Turq. Opal, would resemble feathers better. I'm sure I would have liked this better, had I used different colors, and didn't eff up the design placement on my pinkie. It drove me crazy, lol

Then I used China Glaze Millenium and plate BM 212 for my design

This trumps your Double Rainbow

Good morning guys!! Haha I'm back, lol. I really do have the best hubby and I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to respond to all your guys comments yesterday, but him and I both declared yesterday, movie day no computers allowed, and it was a blast. He actually got the post ready the night before, while we were all celebrating, because I knew there was no way I was waking up to do it, and I couldn't fully compose a descent sentence. I asked him to and with no hesitation he did it, and I just watched and giggled. Here is a pic of him and our very sweet friend, Sandy, helping him out :) Since I took the pic, it's a tad blurry, because keeping still, was just not happening.

We both sat and read all of your sweet words on his post, and loved every single one of them. It was a very proud moment for him :)  I'm thrilled you guys were okay with it, because I actually tried to get him to post something else, because I didn't want you guys to think different of me, for being a tad to intoxicated, eeek.

Let's get to the mani. I started with a base of China Glaze Liquid Leather. I just got this and wanted to try it out. It is a great polish, but I still prefer my Sinful Black on Black.

Then using a pair of the craft scissors, did a more uniformed version of the Shredded Mani, and used Sally Hansen Turquoise Opal. I have quit a few pics, so I could try and show you guys all the colors she is capable of showing.

Hope you guys all had a great weekend!!

Some polishes should just be left alone....

Now, I know it's not normal for me to NOT do some kind of nail art, but this polish doesn't need it. Okay, so as you may know, Sally Hansens Prisms are some of my fave polishes EVER! Oh how I wish these would be re-released :(  I have managed to collect quit a few this past year, all from eBay, lol. Oh and thanks to Kris from the Lucid Bubble, for her post on this. Once I saw it, I had to add it to my Prisms collection.
This one is just as beautiful as the others. Can you see all the colors!! Do I really need to say more about this one?? I'll just let the pics do all the talking. This is 1 coat of Sally Hansen Lilac Aqua over Orly Purple Velvet.

Multi Colored Checkered Mani...

Yep another checkered mani, lol. I wanted to use my Sally Hansen Prism Turquoise Opal again. Man, I cannot get enough of this polish! Just sooo many colors in one polish. Since these have been discontinued for years, I got mine, and a few other Prisms off of eBay, at a very decent price. Then one of my BFF/neighbors, Meghan, stopped over while I was in process of this, and suggested the OPI Lincoln Park After Dark Matte, for the squares. Even though I've used it a bunch lately, I agreed, and she was totally right!!! Then later on I decided to add a top coat, for shine!
You can find the tutorial here, that I did.

Here is Turquoise Opal over black. See.....so many colors!

Here is where I added the Lincoln Park After Dark Matte for the squares. Ignore the dent in my middle finger, lol. Not quit sure how that happened. Grrrrrr

Now with the top coat! I love SV, it evens everything out!

This pic is when I tried it out with the flash on my camera. I loved this pic!

Sally Hansen Burgundy Orchid & Tape

Oh how I love my Prisms (sigh) It's safe to say, they are my fave polishes. Just so many colors, packed into one bottle. As you may know, when I use mine, I layer them all over black. I've done this first design before using the Turq. Opal Prism, but wanted to try it with Burgundy Orchid.

Then later next day, I believe, I still had it on my purse, and wanted to try stripes with the 2. I love it!
