Holy cow. Today I celebrate the 12th anniversary of my 21st birthday. In other words...I'm now 33. Woah. Were you like me all those years ago as a dorky girl in my early teens looking up to those 30-year-olds you knew, thinking how impossibly cool (and old) they were? Yeah, now I'm beginning my 4th year of BEING one. Lucky for me, I don't feel my age...unless you count the tendonitis in both of my elbows from serving, and the fact that when I move (anything), I make a cacophony of creaks and cracks.

Anyway, to celebrate this blessed? day... I decided to do a non-conventional design on my nails...I really went back allll the way to the beginning...you know, somewhere in Aug/Sept 1980. :-D

Moonicure Monday - Something to 'Phone Home' About?

Moonicure Monday is late. I'm sorry. My sister is here in India visiting, and though it was painted, I am just now getting to post it! Lucky for her, She decides to come to India when Tropical Cyclone (what we call a Hurricane in the US) Nilam decides to show up! Lots of crazy wind right now and trees down all over. Anyway, this 'episode' of Moonicure Monday is another Halloween-themed one–and one from our pop-culture past, at that! I sure hope you recognize that lovable extra-terrestrial creature best known as ET flying across my half-moon on the bike with Elliot! OK, now I just need some Reese's Pieces!

I also got the chance to use one of the new American Apparel Glow in the Dark polishes I ordered, and I love them! (I got all three, and they actually glow different colors!)

I used:

Off-White: Illamasqua Load (hee hee)
Glow: American Apparel Moon (Glow in the Dark)
Dark Blue: American Apparel Passport Blue

Sun and Moons

Well it seems to be Weather Week here at TDN, not sure how that happened, but I keep thinking of weather related nail art ideas! I have one more in my head, I'm debating whether to post it, or hold on to the idea for a bit. What do you guys think? Wait? Don't wait? Eh, maybe I'll see if the weather event that inspired it actually happens. Sound like a deal? Well OK then!

Today's nail art is (obviously) suns. Get this though- they're also, what for it—MOONS. Get it? Nerdtastical.
